The Rowan Williams Cambridge Studentship is a programme established by the Cambridge Trust to support students who face severe barriers in coming to study in Cambridge.
Named after the former Chairman of our Board of Trustees, the Rowan Williams Cambridge Studentship is a full-cost award available to undergraduate and postgraduate students, covering tuition fees and maintenance, which will, in some instances, also assist with students’ upfront expenses such as travel, visa costs and the immigration health surcharge.To be eligible, applicants need to:
hold a conditional offer of admission to the University of Cambridge for any degree;
be from an area of instability or zone of conflict;
and/or be, or have been, at risk of discrimination, persecution, suffering, violence or other abuse of their human rights.
Applicants do not need to have Refugee status.
The Williams Papworth Studentship provides full or partial support for students from the Tibetan Plateau or surrounding countries or regions. The studentship seeks to support students committed to the practical application of knowledge and/or the development of ideas. The potential of the applicant to make a significant, positive and forward-looking contribution to his/her own community and the wider world is overall more important than the subject of study, ethnicity or religious affiliation. Past students have studied Criminology, Veterinary Science, Business, Conservation Leadership, Business, Linguistics and Education. Applications from those wishing to study other academic disciples are also welcome although preference will not normally be given to those wishing to study Social Anthropology. The studentship is tenable at any College.
Since the year 2005, Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation has been providing scholarships to meritorious students who belong to financially weaker sections of society for pursuing various professional courses such as Medicine (MBBS), Engineering (BE/B Tech), B.Sc.
